This site is designed to offer information and instruction to martial artists about ways to improve their training. We offer insight into how to perform various kicks and strikes and blocks as well as new ways to approach training. We will publish blog posts and articles on a regular basis as well as offer products designed to aid in the betterment of your martial arts training.

This page is written and managed by Simon Scher. He is a 6th degree ITF TaeKwon-Do black belt with over 27 year of training under many pioneering grand masters and talented practitioners. Mr. Scher was born in Toronto Canada where he trained under Grand Master Park Jong Soo.

He lived most of his life in Tampa Florida where he trained under Master Garry W. Dyals.

Mr. Scher studied Ballet, Jazz and  Modern dance at Blake High School for the performing arts as well as Smith College, Mt. Holyoke College and Hampshire College. He has danced with companies in New York City, Toronto Canada, Tampa Fl, and Northampton Ma.

At Hampshire College in Amherst MA  he studied Japanese Language, Culture and History as well as the Business and Culture of Martial Arts in North America. Mr. Scher spent several years hitchhiking across Japan studying Cha No Yu Tea Ceremony and Zazen Buddhism. He studied film production at NYU’s Tish school and now hosts a successful Youtube channel where he makes available martial arts tutorials. Mr. Scher currently runs a TaeKwon-Do school in Northampton MA where he teaches and trains daily.
